Feedback from employers supporting the Work Experience programme has suggested that some students could be better prepared for their placements, in order for the experince to be more rewarding for both the students and employers.
E&H EBP has designed ‘Skills for Work’, a Work Experience Preparation programme which ensures students are fully prepared for their placements. Students attend a number of workshops which focus on topics such as:
- Customer Service
- Telephone Skills
- CV Writing
- Interview Techniques
- Health & Safety in the Workplace
These workshops are delivered with support from employers who have experience in these areas and are able to give students update advice on what employers are looking for when a student is on Work Experience, or applying for a real employment opportunity.
