Students visit a business to find out about what it would be like to work in the organisation. E&H EBP works with the employer and school to plan a programme for the students, which includes undertaking a Health & Safety check prior to the visit.
These visits allow students to understand how the curriculum relates to the 'world of work' as well as helping them make informed future career choices.
For employers, benefits of hosting a Futures Day include a raised company profile within the local community and staff development opportunities for those involved in organising and faciliating the visit.
