A Career Taster day is an interactive, interesting and fun way for students to experience a range of business activities in school.
A group of employers run hands-on, practical workshops for a group of students in the school. The idea is that it will give students an understanding of how different areas of business work.
Each activity lasts 60 – 90 minutes. Pupils may be tasked with marketing a new product, or given a practical activity relevant to a particular area of industry. We ensure the task relates to an area of business whilst linking to the national Work Related curriculum. These exercises give pupils the opportunity to test their abilities on problem solving, planning, presenting, making decisions and working in a team, all to tight deadlines.
