Work related learning is defined as: "planned activity that uses the context of work to develop knowledge, skills and understanding useful in work…” (QCA, Work Related Learning for All at Key Stage 4)
E&H EBP offers a comprehensive and varied Work Related Learning Programme to schools. Our aim is to ensure young people leave education with the skills they need to achieve their career aspirations. Our events are supported by a wide variety of local and national employers.
Work related learning activities have considerable benefits for both students and employers who support these events. For students, the activities allow them to understand the relevance of their school subjects to working life and inspires them to succeed at school to achieve their future goals.
For employers, getting involved offers opportunities to promote their organisation in the local community, provides training and development opportunities for staff . It offers employers the opportunity to input into the school curriculum and ensure that future employees have the skills employers are looking for.
Work related learning programmes include Mock Interviews, Careers Taster Days and Enterprise Education activities. For information about our full range of work related activities, click onto the programme menu.
