"To establish a sustainable one-stop shop service based on a local partnership between education, business and community interests that will assist young people to develop the skills needed for the world of work"
Alan Coates, Chairman
The combined resources of the E&H EBP will benefit not only the schools and colleges in the two boroughs, but also the business fraternity. It will be imperative in the future that there is a strong correlation between what is being taught in our educational establishments and how this prepares our young people for the job opportunities they will have in the future. Business has a crucial role to play in this process; not just by highlighting what the prerequisite skills requirements are for the jobs on offer, but also by influencing the Work Related element of our curriculums. We believe the EBP plays a crucial role in acting as a well-informed broker that brings the world of education and the world of work together and helps to leverage strong interfaces. The new focus on Apprenticeships and the introduction of the Diplomas are just two examples of where Ealing and Hillingdon EBP can add value by ensuring a strong alignment and positive interaction across the education supply chain. These are difficult yet exciting times and our Board is determined to play its part in making this a resounding success.
